Our story
The beginning of the legacy
Captain Michael Black was a longline fisherman who built a reputation by selecting only the finest catch. Starting in 1987 from a box truck, he grew his operation into a full-scale processing facility supplying premium seafood nationwide.
After Michael’s passing in 2021, his son Jonathan launched Captain Black’s in 2024 — honoring his father’s lifelong commitment to quality and bringing it to every family’s table.
